    Clinical Evidence for Key Ingredients

    Petz Park's strongest clinical evidence is for the dental supplement ingredient Ascophyllum nodosum (Norwegian Kelp). A 2018 double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science examined the effect of Ascophyllum nodosum powder in dogs over 90 days. The study found 46 percent reduction in plaque coverage and 35 percent reduction in calculus compared to placebo. The product tested in that trial holds a VOHC (Veterinary Oral Health Council) Seal of Acceptance for plaque reduction.
